Welcome to Pet Portraits by Sarah!

Hi, I'm Sarah – the self-taught artist behind Pet Portraits by Sarah! Born and raised in Connecticut, I’ve always had a love for animals and creativity. What started as a personal hobby quickly grew into a passion for capturing the unique spirit of pets through hand-painted portraits. With every piece, my goal is to capture the love, personality, and bond between pets and their people.

My tiny studio assistant, Tillie (a very spoiled Brussels Griffon), keeps me company while I work and occasionally offers her creative "input." She’s joined by our two cats, Theodore and Simon, and our bearded dragon, Rue—together, they make up “The Team” that keeps things lively behind the scenes. Oh—and let’s not forget my husband, who provides moral support, tech help, and the occasional snack delivery.

One of the most fulfilling parts of this work is seeing the reactions of people when they receive their portraits—tears, laughter, and heartfelt messages that remind me why I do what I do. It’s an honor to be a small part of such meaningful moments.
